How A Special Diet Has The Power To Prevent Age Spots

I:0:JThere is one thing in life that the majority of people dread, yet believe to be inevitable. This would be liver spots. You may also call it age spots. You have probably been brought up thinking there is simply nothing you can do to prevent it. Well, I am here to change your mind today. We have more doctors doing more research today than ever before. Anti-aging is one of the biggest topics in the health and beauty market. Thanks to this one simple fact, we are unable to prevent many unpleasant effects, including age pigments.

Recent research has brought something of great importance to our attention. This is that age spots are actually preventable. Do I have your attention yet? Great, let me explain.

Liver spots are simply age pigments. These are made up of oxidized unsaturated oils with iron. That tells us that if we watch what we eat, we can stop age spots. Sure, they are still likely to show up eventually. However, this does not have to be soon, and it does not have to be as noticeable. By changing the way we eat, we will prolong the dreaded effects of aging and reduce the severity of how it looks. In other words, we can at least make sure that we do everything we can to stop them from being nearly as noticeable.

First, as I am sure you gathered from the previous paragraph, we all need to stop with the eating of unsaturated oils. Instead of using vegetable oil, use unheated olive oil. Instead of nut oils, seed oils, or margarine, use butter or coconut oils. Also, animal fats are usually a great choice. Nine times out of ten, the more tasteful the better honestly. That may sound odd but it is the truth. It is crucial that you keep in mind though that if you heat olive oil, it is more prone to becoming oxidized.

What should folks do next? You should remove too much iron from your diet. You may not realize it but multivitamins and the vast majority of processed foods are loaded down with iron. One way to prevent the absorption of this iron would be to drink coffee during your meals.

Now you know the basic foundation to putting off age spot formation. I would, however, like to introduce you to just a few more important factors. There are certain things that increase estrogen levels in your body, like stress, not enough protein in your diet, and a lack of proper detoxification of your liver. High estrogen levels lead to more age spots. Be sure to keep your hormones as balanced as possible to get the most out of your anti-aging efforts.

There is another piece of advice for you that will probably catch you off guard. That is that you should probably eat more dark chocolate. Why? Because, dark chocolate joins shellfish and liver in the aspect that all of them are loaded with copper. Keeping a copper rich diet will prevent absorbing too many irons.

Lastly, I want to point out that free radicals lead to increased age pigments. By adding antioxidants to your foods, you will give your body the strength it needs to fight off excess free radicals. The best way to add antioxidants would be to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Of course there is always some sort of supplement out there, but in my personal opinion real foods beat supplements any day.
